Membership Information

LLI membership is open to all curious adults age 50 and older. There are no educational prerequisites — only a desire to keep learning, explore new ideas, and connect with others who share your curiosity.

As an LLI member, you'll enjoy far more than classes. Membership opens the door to a vibrant community of lifelong learners, with opportunities to engage in stimulating discussions, attend special events, discover new interests, and build lasting friendships. Throughout the year, we're continually adding new programs and member experiences designed to make your membership even more rewarding.

Membership Fees

LLI membership is $60 per term (Fall or Spring) and is non-refundable. Individual courses, special events, and field trips may have additional fees, which are listed in each course description. View a full list of LLI Fees and Policies.

Fall 2026 Membership

Advance membership purchase is available July 1–August 14, 2026. Purchasing your membership before registration opens gives you time to verify your account and login credentials, making course registration faster and easier when registration begins. Once registration opens, you'll simply select the courses, field trips, and special events you'd like to attend.

Gift Membership

Give the gift of lifelong learning! A gift membership is a thoughtful way to introduce a friend or family member to LLI. To purchase a gift membership, please contact our registration coordinators at 540-231-5182.

Annual Membership

Purchased an annual membership during Fall 2026 registration? You're all set for Spring 2027 — there's no need to purchase membership again. Before spring registration opens, we encourage you to test your login credentials using our practice link to make sure your account is ready.

Fall Program Registration

Registration for courses, field trips, and free events opens Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 9:30 am and stays open throughout the term. More information.

LLI is committed to accessible and affordable educational opportunities for NRV residents. Fee waivers are available for those that need them and can be requested by calling the LLI Program Coordinator at 540-231-1725.  All requests are confidential.
